Q4 2020 Performance of Top Turn-Based Tactics Games on iOS in Australia

In the fourth quarter of 2020, Australia's iOS platform saw various turn-based tactics games vying for gamers' attention. Data from Sensor Tower provides an overview of how these games performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Bowmasters - Multiplayer Game from Playgendary Limited showed a notable uptick in downloads towards the end of the quarter, jumping from 2K in early October to over 6K by the end of December. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, climbing from approximately 44K to over 43K in the same period. Revenue peaked in the early weeks of October at around 4K USD before stabilizing to just over 4K USD by year-end.

Tank Stars, developed by AI Games FZ, experienced a steady rise in both downloads and weekly active users. The downloads increased from approximately 2K in late September to over 3K by the end of December. Active users showed growth from around 9K to 10K in this timeframe. Revenue saw highs and lows, ending the quarter at just under 1K USD.

For Flick Chess! by SUPERSONIC STUDIOS LTD, the revenue was not a highlight, with many weeks showing zero income. However, downloads and active users remained relatively steady, with downloads hovering around a few hundred each week and active users maintaining a level just above 1.5K.

The Walking Dead No Man's Land, from Deca Live Operations GmbH, showed a fluctuating pattern in revenue but ended the quarter on a positive note with over 1K USD in the last week of December. Downloads and weekly active users remained low, with downloads barely crossing the 100 mark and active users staying under 700 throughout the quarter.

Finally, FINAL FANTASY BE:WOTV presented by SQUARE ENIX had its moments of high revenue, particularly in the third week of December, where it reached over 4K USD. Downloads and active users, however, were modest, with the latter ranging from 400 to just over 500 in Q4.
